FAQ
What’s your minimum volume?
There isn’t a hard one — but we’re built for programs, not spot loads. Most engagements start at a lane, a mode, or a project (like a network analysis) and grow from there.
How fast can we onboard?
Transactional freight: days. Managed transportation: typically 2–4 weeks — SOPs, routing guides, carrier alignment, and reporting setup. We’d rather launch right than launch Friday.
Do you integrate with our TMS/ERP?
Yes — EDI, API, or structured flat files. We build the integration to your stack; you don’t rebuild anything for ours.
What does “managed transportation by mode” mean?
You keep what works and hand us what doesn’t. Some customers give us their full network; others hand us only drayage, only FTL, or only final mile. Same team, same reporting, scoped to what you need.
Which ports and ramps do you cover?
All major U.S. ports and rail ramps. Container tracking, LFD management, chassis, pre-pulls, and transloading are core operations for us, not add-ons.
Do you handle Mexico cross-border freight?
Yes — northbound and southbound, with customs brokerage coordination and bilingual operations. We’ve supported full manufacturing nearshoring programs from China to Mexico.
What happens when something goes wrong?
You hear it from us first. Exception management means we flag the problem, the plan, and the ETA impact before you ask. Across 30,000+ loads we’ve had two claims — but when issues happen, ownership is the process.
Can you work under our brand?
Yes. For forwarders and 3PLs we operate white-label — your brand on communication, our team behind it, and we never touch your customer relationship.
How does your reporting work?
Weekly and monthly reporting built around your KPIs — on-time performance, cost per unit/mode/lane, accessorials, per diem exposure, carrier scorecards — plus regular business reviews where the data turns into decisions.
Are you asset-based or a broker?
Both. HOP runs its own asset division alongside a national brokerage network — committed capacity where you need certainty, network flexibility where you need reach.
How do I track a shipment?
Enter your HOP load number at hop3pl.com/track — status comes straight from our TMS.
Are you a diverse supplier?
Yes — HOP is women- and minority-owned.
